A Mom’s Thankfulness

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

You can definitely tell that wedding season has started around here at Embellished Weddings. It has been a busy couple of weekends with some incredible weddings. I have so much to blog about. I really hope to highlight some vendors from the past couple of weddings that Embellished has done.

In the meantime, allow me to share some sweet words from family members. In the same day and in the same hour,  two mother-of-the-bride’s e-mailed me after their daughter’s wedding had taken place. As much as I like to help the bride and the groom with every detail, I also want to help the family members. This wedding is a once in a lifetime memory, and I do not want the mom to worry about if the corsages are pinned on, or if the cakes have arrived, or if the DJ has the right order of the reception. There are a lot of details when it comes to a wedding and a reception, and I want to come alongside the bride and her family and take care of every detail so they can ENJOY EVERY MOMENT!

Here is what one mom wrote:

“BOOK HER NOW!  Amanda was invaluable in creating a wedding on our limited budget that was nothing less than magical for our daughter and her new husband.  We do not live in OKC and had no idea of where to begin.  We used every one of the vendors she suggested and couldn’t have been more pleased.  She coordinated with all of the vendors and sent us detailed lists of just where we were in the preparation process.  The reception was at the church and required much more work on her part than a standard venue would have.  She put in countless hours of work the week of the wedding and seemed to be everywhere at once on the day of.  She is charming, energetic, and a complete joy to work with.  I cannot say enough about this lovely young woman.  She is the consummate professional, loves her job, and will be devoted to making your wedding perfect in every detail.”

Another mom put it short and sweet:

“CONGRATULATIONS on a perfect wedding.  I can’t imagine getting all that together without you.  You were fantastic and I appreciate EVERYTHING you did for us.  I’m not always the easiest person to work with, but I think we did fine.  I hope you think so too.
Amanda, it was perfect.  I don’t know a thing Lacey, Kevin or I would change.  I didn’t have to worry about anything (although, the control freak in me did a little).  I knew you were going to handle any situation.  It was the most wonderful day.
Again, thank you so much for all your hard work.  I will tell everyone new bride-to-be and mother of the bride to be about you!
Thanks so much!
love you -”

Why to Invest in a Wedding Planner

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

I found this article online and completely agree with every word:

Five Reasons To Use A Wedding Planner - by Laura Hart
A wedding can be an incredibly scary undertaking, especially when you’re not sure where to start.Weddings are among the most beautiful, yet most stressful events we have to look forward to in our lives. So why not invite a professional to lend a hand? There are a plethora of things in our daily lives that we need help with. A wedding should be no exception. Investing in a Photographer

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

One of the most important vendors you will hire for your big day is The Photographer. In the Oklahoma City area alone, there are dozens and dozens of photographers to choose from.
