High and Low

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

I love adding dimension to a reception room. One of the best ways to do this is to have multiple heights in your centerpieces.

Instead of having all one height centerpieces, change it up! If you have 20 tables, have 10 of them be high centerpieces and the other 10 low centerpieces. They still have the same color scheme, incorporate some of the same flowers, etc, but they are simply different heights in different size vases. If you have 21 tables, divide it into 3. Have 7 high centerpieces, 7 medium centerpieces, 7 low centerpieces. The possisbilities are endless!

It adds such an incredible look to the room and really make the centerpieces stand out! Just a little recommendation for today!

What have you seen that looks really good for centerpieces?

W Photography and Design

Ashlea Wright is the owner of W Photography and Design and I recommend her to all of my brides for ALL of their stationary needs. She is incredibly talented and can do anything and everything with regards to customized and personalized stationary. She can design your wedding invitations, save-the-dates, programs, thank-you cards, bridal showers, bridemaid’s gifts, etc.

I know her personally and she comes highly recommended by me! You can reach her by e-mail: ashleawright@mac.com or by phone: 405.760.0827.

1.    How long have you been in business? It has been a wonderful evolution. Long before W Photography and Design ‘officially’ began I had the opportunity to build experience with side jobs for friends and family while working full time. They were so kind to recommend me to their friends and family. That cycle kept repeating, so I made a decision to quit my job and launch W Photography and Design in 2005.

2.    How did you get involved with design, stationary, etc? When I began to plan my wedding, I decided to design my own wedding invitations, programs, rehearsal dinner invitations and so on. I enjoyed the entire process so much from the design, to choosing the kind of paper and printing. By word of mouth I met with my first client, and it has been a joy to work with the bride and groom since.

3.    What all do you offer a bride when it comes to her wedding stationary? Brides do not have to pick from menu of options that have already been designed and possible used by other brides. When I meet with the bride, they share their vision for their day and together we discuss the design. Each bride that I have the opportunity to work with knows that their stationary is going to be a custom design especially for them.
I offer full service from start to finish- design to print. Couples choose from the following: Save the Date Announcements, Wedding Invitiations, RSVP cards, Wedding Shower Invitations, Personal Shower Invitations, Rehearsal Dinner Invitations, Wedding Programs, Dinner Menus, Thank You Cards and Personalized Stationary
4.    When do you recommend a bride meets with you to order stationary? Brides sending Save the Date Announcements, I recommend meeting no less than 8 months prior to her wedding. If they are ordering Invitations, I recommend meeting no less than 6 months prior to her wedding.
5.    What do you love about your job? Most of all, I love meeting with the bride and groom and getting a feel for who they are as a couple. Everyone has their own style and wants their wedding to be unique. I love the challenge of creating stationary specifically for the couple.
