One Unbelievable Florist

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I have worked with a lot of florists over the years. A lot of incredible florists. However, there is one that continues to blow me away. Just when I think she can’t get any more creative or create a new, magnificent centerpiece, she does! She is one of the most creative and talented people I know. Her name is Jan Edwards and she used to own Crazy Daisy and has recently changed her name to The Flower Girls (as she works with her 2 talented daughters).

She was the florist for one of the weddings I had in April. The pictures below are some of the centerpieces that she created for the guest tables and the food table.

Jan can do anything. Any style. Any color scheme. Any arrangement. On any budget. Her packages start at $2500 and go up from there. She works out of her gorgeous home in Yukon. She meets with brides at her home and arranges all of the flowers in her home. She has different items you can rent (ie: gazebo, candelabras, rod iron stands, etc) for your wedding and/or reception.

If you want centerpieces at your wedding that are unique and different and not like the flowers you see at all of your friend’s weddings, then you want to hire Jan. She is so talented and so good at what she does. I am excited to work with her a lot this year since so many of my bride’s have loved her work!

You can reach Jan at 405-495-3585 to set up an appointment to talk about your wedding flowers.

May 23, 2009 Wedding- Fun Colors and Ice Cream Bar

Friday, June 5th, 2009

One of the sweetest girls you have EVER met just got married on May 23rd. I absolutely LOVED helping Amy and her sweet mom with Amy and Andrew’s wedding. It was the perfect wedding. What makes a wedding perfect is when the guests walk into the wedding and the reception and the first thing they say is “wow, that is so their style.”

We had so much fun planning this perfect summer wedding. Pink and Orange were their colors and it all turned out perfect. The garden was gorgeous with pink tulle lining the aisle attached with pink daisy flower balls. The arch was gorgeously decorated as was the aisle with alternating pink and orange rose petals. The reception was ornately decorated with chair covers, sashes, out-of-this-world centerpieces, amazing catering and cakes! It all came together better than planned!amyknippers

One of the very best parts was the ice cream bar. The bride and groom loved ice cream and even had some extremely cute pictures framed of them eating ice cream that were displayed next to everything. Amy found the cutest ice cream “bowls” that were in the shape of an ice cream cone and it came with an attached spoon. The ice cream bar consisted of two different flavors of ice cream and a dozen toppings to choose from: whip cream, chocolate sauce, caramal sauce, strawberry sauce, different kinds of candy, etc. Once again, this was a HUGE hit with the guests. It was a hot afternoon and the best way to cool off was with some ice cream! And it was an added personal touch from the bride and groom. Great way to tell the guests “thanks for coming!”

Amy and Andrew, congratulations! I hope May 23rd was the best day of your lives! I enjoyed helping you with every detail. It was one stunning wedding!

Two colors that look so good together: Brown and Pink. This wedding had a bit of the “cherry blossom” theme and it all turned out great! Her invitations had it, her reserved signs, her centerpieces, her cake, etc. It all came together PERFECTLY!

I have been having a hard time remembering to take pictures at weddings. I also always leave my camera at home, so a lot of these pictures are coming from my phone, which does not offer the best quality. (more…)
