I know, I know, I am sure you have missed me and all of the wonderful wedding blog posts! :) (Please note the intense sarcasm). Things have been a little wild around here. There is a reason for the silence, I promise. His name is Colton, the new addition to our family:

I did 3 weddings right before I had him. I was huge and I was waddling around the ceremony and reception venue. I was pretty certain that when I got home from the wedding I would go into labor based on how hard I was working. Well, that did not happen. He came 11 days after my last wedding. 11 days is a long time when you are that big.

I took a short maternity leave to spend some precious time with him and because no bride would want to see the dark circles under my eyes from no sleep if we were to have met. He is starting to sleep longer stretches at night, which means more energy for me, which means more energy to work on all of the wedding files in my office!

I must say, I am SO EXCITED for this fall season and all of my fall weddings. I have the best brides with the most beautiful style. Every wedding has a completely different look and inspiration, but they are all uniquely beautiful! I can not wait. What that means for you is lots of blog posts coming showcasing their gorgeous pictures! I am so excited!

And crazy enough, summer 2011 is almost completely booked! There are a few more spots open on the calendar so if you are thinking about hiring a wedding planner (or any vendor for that matter), I recommend sooner than later! All vendors are booking quickly for those popular dates!

Thanks for understanding the silence on the blog. More posts to come! In the meantime, I will be working on wedding files or cuddling with this little man:

42nd Street Candy Company

I love showcasing incredible vendors around the Oklahoma area. One of the best parts of my job is coming alongside incredible vendors and working with them. There are a lot of talented people and I am so thankful to work with them in the wedding industry.

Another awesome person to work with for your wedding is Teresa. Teresa is the owner of 42nd Street Candy Company located in Oklahoma City. It is on Western just south of 50th. If you have not been in her amazing store, you are missing out. Pretty much any type of candy you have ever wanted is in that store. If you are on that summer diet, enter at your own risk. It can be very tempting.

There are a lot of different things that Teresa can do when it comes to a wedding. One thing that she can do that has been a hit at Oklahoma weddings recently is the Candy Bar or Candy Buffet.

Teresa provided all of the candy for a wedding that I coordinated in April. She can do anything. You just tell her your color scheme and she provides countless ideas that are sure to be a hit at your wedding. She can do a Candy Buffet that is all-inclusive meaning she will provide the jars, the candy, the favor boxes/bags, the scoops, etc. She will also do the set-up and clean up. She would do it all! Or you can provide everything yourself and she can just provide the candy.

I have worked with Teresa a lot in the past and have been blown away by her joyous attitude, bubbly personality, and incredible professionalism.

I have heard rumors that they are working on a new website! I think it might be coming true pretty soon! In the meantime, give Teresa a call. You can reach her at 42nd Street Candy Company at 405-521-8337.

Kateri & Adam

Meet Kateri and Adam:

I am so looking forward to this October wedding this year. We have been working on her wedding since last August and it is so awesome to see everything coming together, as far as all of the planning goes. We are trying to utilize school breaks to get a lot of wedding stuff done! It has been working out great!

Kateri and Adam are an incredible couple that I have loved meeting with and working with. Kateri is a beautiful girl that just finished her first year at grad school! On top of school and work, she has been planning this gorgeous wedding! I love her incredible sense of style and I love all of her great ideas for her wedding! I love how Adam is at every appointment supporting his fiance and pouring out his ideas and desires for the wedding. I think it is just a glimpse of how he is going to support Kateri in everything she does as his wife. How sweet!

They took their engagement pictures a couple of weeks ago and their photographer sent me a few of the images. I love how the pictures turned out!

Lacie & Jordan

I am seeing my bride’s everywhere (on the internet). Photographers are showcasing their engagement session on their blog, or highlighting pictures of their bridal session, or posting about their wedding, etc. I have been loving seeing their pictures! Because they are all so amazing and beautiful, I would like to showcase them too!

Jordan is a pilot and he flew them to Wiley Post Airport where they did their engagement shoot. How perfect is that?
